Koelbel Developments
Commercial Developments
In its long history, Koelbel and Company has been involved in shaping Colorado's commercial corridors from the Denver Tech Center to Vail Cascade. Company founder, Walter Koelbel, pioneered much of the area along the I-25 corridor in the 1950s and 1960s, establishing long-standing strategic partnerships. Koelbel and Company continues to develop a mix of office and retail projects throughout Colorado and has continuously been a leader in setting the stage for future commercial corridors.
Centennial Promenade
A 560,000 square foot retail center, located directly north of Park Meadows Mall, Centennial Promenade was developed jointly with Opus Northwest, LLC. One of the area's largest open malls, it includes 52 tenants including Borders Books, Ultimate Electronics, REI, and Toys R Us.
Centennial Valley
In 1996, Koelbel acquired 175 acres of the remaining land in an 850-acre mixed-use business park in Louisville, Colorado. Comprised of restaurants, hotels, daycare providers and retail shops, Centennial Valley has become a Class A Business Park that caters to a diverse mix of office tenants including Sun Microsystems, Idol Minds, NITA, Spyder, GHX, Transfirst and more.
Located on US 36, Centennial Valley is 5 minutes from Boulder, 30 minutes from Denver and adjacent to the highly anticipated ConocoPhillips Renewable Energy campus. Koelbel and Company recently completed the construction of a new 62,000 square foot single-story office building and redeveloped a previous corporate office headquarters into a vibrant new retail destination. New retail tenants include Starbucks, Qdoba, Keybank, Dickeys BBQ, Smiling Moose Deli and Sole Pepper Sports.
CenterGreen at Greenwood Village
Plans are in-progress for Koelbel and Company's CenterGreen development, a 30 acre self-contained, mixed-use transit oriented village located in Greenwood Village and anchoring Denver's Southeast Corridor. People-oriented and neighborhood-friendly, CenterGreen will be the heartbeat of the Greenwood Village Town Center, and the social hub connecting the Southeast Denver Metroplex, Greenwood Village, the Denver Tech Center, and surrounding neighborhoods to enhance business, creative social interaction, community living and sustainability.
With frontage along I-25 and connected to the RTD Arapahoe Light Rail Station, CenterGreen is ideally located at the convergence of regional highways, light rail transit, bus transit, regional and local bikeways and pedestrian paths. The development is planned to include an exciting and attractive mix of uses with a full-service hotel, offices, specialty retail and commercial services, dining and entertainment venues, a mix of high-end residential uses including brownstones, condominiums and apartments, and extensive public spaces.
