New Grant Program for Prelude Buyers

This spring we initiated a new program available to buyers interested in our Prelude at TAVA Waters community. The grant program gives qualifying applicants up to $17,500 towards their purchase. Now, this may seem like a small amount in comparison to the cost of a house. However, it’s how the money is applied that makes a difference — especially for first-time home buyers.

The grant program consists of two grants: a down payment grant and a closing cost grant. These are the two areas where first-time buyers often struggle the most since they require upfront cash rather than monthly payments.

The down payment grant can cover up to 3% of the purchase price (with a maximum of $10,000), which is an important number because mortgages can now be obtained for just a 3% down payment. Similarly, the closing cost grant is $7,500, removing the need to worry about how to cover costs that often feel like surprises to many first-time buyers, such as title costs and other miscellaneous fees that are unavoidable parts of the homebuying process.

Who Is Eligible?

The location of Prelude at TAVA Waters means that anyone earning up to $176,000 per year can be eligible for these grants. You’ll also need a good credit score and payment history.
