Four Seasons. Limitless Possibilities.
In Winter Park, every day of every season has a new adventure in store for you. The slopes, trails, rivers, and town are just waiting to be explored and experienced. Voted the #1 ski area in North America for three consecutive years, Winter Park is not just Denver’s closest major ski resort, it’s also Colorado’s longest continually operated ski resort. With seven major territories across two mountains, the slopes here offer everyone from beginners to experts exactly what they’re looking for. Looking for a more horizontal skiing experience? Winter Park offers some of the best cross country skiing in North America.
While winter sports are the first things that come to mind for most people when thinking about Winter Park, there’s no ‘off season’ here. Winter Park is known as the Mountain Bike Capital of the US, and offers bikers an incredible range of trail lengths and intensities. The Trestle is a popular nearby park with over 40 miles of trails. Similarly, hikers will find no end to the trails that await them. From remote meadows to mountain peaks, the trails here run right through the Rendezvous community and tie into both the Arapaho National Forest and Grand County systems.
If you’re looking to cast a line and reel in some fish, Rendezvous offers an exclusive private fishing pond stocked for homeowners which lies right in the Rendezvous community. The Fraser River also runs through Winter Park, providing excellent fly-fishing opportunities. Additionally, the Colorado River is just a 20 minute drive from Winter Park where some of the region’s best fishing can be found.
Beyond the classic outdoor activities, Winter Park Ski Resort is also home to Colorado’s longest alpine slide which is an exciting 3,000-foot track perfect for all ages. Just a few minutes away you’ll also find the Fraser Tubing Hill for those looking for even more downhill excitement. Or you can take the family ice-skating right in the ski village.
Things To Do in Winter Park
The town itself is no less packed with things to do. With more than 60 eateries to choose from, including local coffee shops, breweries, candy stores, and fine dining, you won’t be going home hungry.
Despite being an outdoor-activity-focused area, downtown Winter Park is also home to a range of spas, salons, and other ways to pamper yourself after a few hard days in the mountains. You can also visit one of the many art galleries and museums or enjoy a historical tour or live music in town.
Rendezvous Community Amenities
